Founded in 2021 by Kirsten Larsen, AICP, Lupine was built on a simple conviction: that places worth preserving deserve advocates who understand both the technical requirements and the human stakes involved.

Kirsten brings 15years of Washington State public sector planning experience to every engagement, including her current role as Senior Planner and Historic Preservation Officer for the City of Wenatchee. Having worked on both sides of the counter, she understands how decisions get made, where applications stall, and what it takes to move a project forward.

Her expertise spans historic preservation, SEPA review, National Register research, and land use entitlement across Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, and Grant counties. She holds a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning from Arizona State University and is a certified member of the American Institute of Certified Planners AICP. Lupine is a woman-owned consulting practice serving private property owners, developers, nonprofits, and local jurisdictions throughout North Central Washington and the greater Pacific Northwest.

ROOTED IN NORTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON

The Wenatchee Valley isn't just where Lupine is based — it's where Kirsten lives, works, and is deeply invested in the region's growth and character. At Lupine, every project is a commitment to the enduring places we call home.
