About
Lupine Preservation + Planning blends a passion for preserving the natural beauty and historical significance of North Central Washington with expertise in feasible and sustainable land use planning.

Founded in 2021 by Kirsten Larsen, AICP, Lupine was established to bridge the gap between complex regulatory requirements and the successful realization of local projects.
STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR PROVEN RESULTSNavigating the permitting process requires a precise understanding of both current code and community heritage. With a decade of experience working for and with local governments, Kirsten provides specialized support for small scale developers, nonprofits, and private property owners. We specialize in turning conceptual ideas into approved realities through a suite of technical services.
Kirsten’s approach is grounded in academic rigor and professional certification. She holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from Arizona State University, a Master’s certificate in Transportation Systems Planning, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Her background provides a balanced perspective that considers the economic impacts of planning decisions alongside their cultural and environmental value.
ROOTED IN NORTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON
Based in the Wenatchee Valley, Kirsten is deeply invested in the growth and preservation of North Central Washington and greater Pacific Northwest. When she isn't navigating the nuances of preservation, planning or permitting for clients, she is enjoying those same landscapes with her family.
At Lupine, work is more than just a project—it is a commitment to the enduring character of the region we call home.
